Can I have a technician come and install my modem and NIC card?
Yes. LP Broadband has a list of independent consultants that can assist you in setting up your equipment or installing cards in your computers. Contact us at techsupport@lpbroadband.net or call us at 970-372-2824 for information or contacting and arranging for someone to give you assistance. Specific charges are determined by each independent consultant.
Can I use my own router for LP Broadband service?
Yes We provide one broadband connection to your location and it can be used to connect a number of computers via LAN or wireless LAN.
Can I run a Wireless Access Point (router) off my LP Broadband connection?
Yes, LP Broadband does not limit how you connect to and use the LP Broadband Internet service. However, you are not authorized to resell LP Broadband services. See the Terms of Service agreement for more details. You are responsible for the security for your computer and Wireless Access Point.
Will I need to install any new LP Broadband software - will it interfere with my PC?
No. LP Broadband does not require you to load any software to get the service.
Does the LP Broadband wireless radio come with Router capabilities?
No. We do not require a router be installed between the radio and your home network but you will need one if you choose to connect to multiple PCs. We also strongly suggest you purchase adequate virus protection, and consider installing a personal firewall.
Does LP Broadband support reverse DNS services?
Yes. LP Broadband does support reverse DNS services. Please contact techsupport@lpbroadband.net for more information.
Why won't my VPN Client work with LP Broadband DHCP?
Certain VPN's may require settings we cannot accommodate. We will make every effort to help you resolve issues, but ultimately, your place of business should be the ones to assist you in making it work.
